Acoustic Room is hosted by local songwriters Shane O’Fearghail and Tony Bardon from Tallaght Songwriting Collective.

Acoustic Room aims to provide an opportunity for up and coming songwriters, in South County Dublin, to showcase their talents.

Acoustic Room is a partnership between Tallaght Songwriting Collective and Tallaght Community Arts.

The Acoustic Room sessions will be held on a monthly basis and are part of a build up to an Acoustic Festival which will take place in Tallaght in September 2012 with local Irish artists appearing alongside international singer songwriters.

Tallaght Songwriting Collective is part a European Song Writing Collective exchange programme with EU partner countries.

By way of acknowledging the EU connection, the Acoustic Room sessions will include a competition for Singer Songwriters in March, April and May, as part of the evening’s entertainment.  The winner of this competition will accompany members of the Tallaght Songwriting Collective to Slovenia at the end of May, all expenses covered.

In Slovenia the Collective will write songs with the European partners as well as play in one of the country’s major music festivals, Kantfest.
